The website is currently being prepared for Furcation Online 2020. Keep an eye on our social media for more information!

We have continued to monitor the ongoing Coronavirus Pandemic and have been sourcing as much information as possible. On Friday 19 June, we held a staff meeting with all Furcation staff to discuss our thoughts, feelings, and concerns regarding running Furcation in 2020. There was a lot of uncertainty amongst the staff but after a long discussion, we have reached the same, mutually agreed, conclusion.

To this effect, we regret to inform you that we will be cancelling Furcation 2020.

This was certainly not an easy decision however our key focus has to be the safety and welfare of our attendees. Until such a time as the virus no longer poses a threat, there is a significant risk that someone with COVID-19 could attend the event, leading to infection of other attendees. This is a risk we are not willing to take and, as such, we could not, in good conscience, run the event.

We have had to make this decision now based on the information that is currently available to us. If we had left this decision any later, this would have been at a detriment to the planning and organisation of the event, which would have had a negative effect on its quality. We are looking at re-scheduling the event to November 2021 and are awaiting confirmation from park owners John Fowler on a set date. Given that they are still running minimum operations due to the current lockdown, this will likely not be available for a short while.

So what does this mean now?

The chosen theme (The Roaring ‘20s) for Furcation 2020 and our nominated charity will be moved to our 2021 event.

Over the weekend of 6-8 November 2020, we would like to invite you to join us as we Re-run the Fun in our first virtual convention! We’ll be basing this on last year’s FC:TV Live theme and will be looking to raise some further funds for last years charity, Ferne Animal Sanctuary, who have been hit hard by the ongoing pandemic. Further details on how to get involved will be made available soon, please keep an eye on our website and our social media pages for further information.

Whilst we regret that this may not be the outcome that some were hoping for, we trust that we have made the best decision in regard to both your safety as attendees and the future of the convention, and look forward to seeing you at both our virtual convention and a hopeful return to normality in November 2021.

We wish you all the best of health during this ongoing pandemic and hope you all remain safe and well.
